How To
Let's see how they work on a generic surface., we'll then see specific cases. First step is painting Wood Primer and let it dry. Either brush or airbrush. Preferrably unthinned, or thinned in a minimum of water or alcohol-airbrush only.
Now just spread some Wood Effect, unthinned, and pull it back and forth with a bad brush. The more you do, the more the texture will be defined.

Depending upon the brush you use and product amount, you obtain many different variants.
Fixing the whole, when dry, with CRYSTAL LOCK or MATT LOCK, either for a glossy or matt finish, is recommended. Expecially if you then apply other products, decals.
Come Fare
Vediamo prima come si utilizzano su una superficie generica, vedremo poi i casi specifici. Il primo passaggio consiste nello stendere il Wood Primer e lasciarlo asciugare. A pennello o aerografo è indifferente. Preferibilmente puro, o leggermente diluito in acqua o alcool (solo per aerografo) a tuo gusto.
Stendi un poco di prodotto Wood Effect, non diluito, tiralo avanti ed indietro. Più insisti, e più le venature saranno definite.

A seconda del pennello utilizzato e della quantità di prodotto applicata, ottieni infinite varianti.
Quando asciutto, è consigliabile fissare il tutto con CRYSTAL LOCK o con MATT LOCK, a seconda che tu voglia una finitura lucida o opaca. Soprattutto se devi poi applicare decals o altri prodotti.
Variants
The four Wood Effect tones can be placed one aside the other for a more complex effect.
Or mixed together to obtain new tones.
For a softer, less marked effect like this ship hull, products can be thinned down a bit with water.
Varianti

Overlapping
The Wood tones can also be overlapped. Per example a firts layer of Light Wood with a moderate texture. Wait a couple hours, then apply a mix of Brown Wood and Light Wood, in a more defined texture.
The same technique on this Roland fuselage, adding some Red Wood to the previous mix.
Sovrapposizione
Puoi anche sovrapporre più tonalità. Nel caso della fusoliera di un aereo puoi ad esempio stendere un primo strato di Light Wood, in venature morbide, e dopo qualche ora un secondo strato di un mix fra Light Wood e Brown Wood, definendo maggiormente le venature.
La stessa tecnica sulla fusoliera del Roland, aggiungendo Red Wood alla miscela precedente.
